Copic Challenge 31

Copic Challenge 31 is based on autumn colours, the selection of colours to use were YR68, G94 and Y38, but as usual I don’t have them! Hopefully I will get the other two sets soon. So I have used YR04, G21, Y21, E33 and E35 to use for my design.
Only thing is this morning I felt very sad, a lady had ran over a cat and I helped her to take it to the vets, but sadly it did not survive. Being an animal lover its still upsetting, even though it’s not your own pet, and like I said to the lady, we stayed with him and tried to do the best we could. My thoughts go out to the cat’s owner, I hope I do not upset any animal lovers by putting this on my blog.

Challenge Penny Black 66 and Pollycraft 24

This week I am entering one card for two challenges, Penny Black Sketch 66 set out by Domi and Pollycraft Challenge 24 is to use black/white and one other colour. So I thought this was a great chance to do these challenges as it’s my daughter birthday soon and she loves these colours but most of all purple is her favourite. I have used Bazzil Bling card stock, cricut machine for cutting out the fancy background shapes, copic pens Roo V17 100, flowers and ribbon I found amongst my stash.

Copic Challenge 28

Copic Challenge 28 was to use E47, BG23, R85 but I only had one of these colours which is E47 so I also used B12,B23 and R27. I had to make another male birthday card so again I used the bear stamp but this time he is a golfer, the bear is such a versatile stamp this is why I enjoy using it.

Papertake Sketch 22

For the Papertake Sketch 22, I have followed this sketch to design a birthday card for my husband’s mate who is also a volunteer at the same heritage railway. This time I made the bear out to be a signalman, I added the waistcoat stamp and modified the hat to suit it. I coloured the stamped images using copic pens, YG63, G21, BV23, C7 and R11.

Challenge 26

I have been asked to make a 1st birthday card, so I have designed it so I can enter Copic Challenge 26.
The copic pens I used are BG05,B05,R59,G14,G99,R00 which where great colours to work with as the card is for a boy. The bear and balloons image is from Daisy & Dandelion stamps and I have coloured the wood number 1 with the coordinating copic pen. To make this is even more special I have continued to decorate the inside, to create a memorable card.

Challenge #40

Inside

Whiff of Joy Challenge #40, was to use any Whiff of Joy stamp and follow a sketch set out by Donalda. I was asked to make an anniversary card for a friend, so this is the card I have made for this challenge. I used sitting summer Willow stamp, Oakley and the bench stamp is from magnolia, I have coloured the images with copic pens using (C1,C3,RV21,RV23,Y11,E31,E35,R00). The cardstock is The Luxury Stack by DCWV, and pink and brown pearlescent card. I used my cricut machine for the matting and layering shapes and added punched out hearts. I made some roses out of matching ribbon and finally I attached a silver heart charm, and continued the theme to the inside of the card.

Copic Challenge 16

It’s my granddaughter’s 1st birthday this Friday and this is the card I have made for her and entered it in the Copic challenge 16. I did not have the colours they suggested, so the ones I used to colour the magnolia image were similar which were RV13, RV23, Y02, Y11, E31, E35 and E21. The cardstock is pink bazzil and I found a piece of two toned patterned card, I have also used pink and yellow ribbon and fixed them together. I used my cricut machine to cut out the frames for matting and laying the image and for the wording. To finish the card I have added silver charms, and yellow brads in the middle of the flowers.

Copic Challenge #13 Maddy's sketch

This week Copic challenge 13 is Maddy’s sketch, so for this challenge I have designed my husband’s birthday card. Which I have made in time as it is his birthday tomorrow. So I must not let him see my blog today otherwise he will see his card before I get chance to give it to him.

For the bear image I have used copic pens B23, B32, E71, RV21 and for the train YG63, YG67, BV23, C7, R27. The cardstock is green Bazzil and I had left over bits of striped patterned paper. I used my cricut machine to cut out all the different shapes, and then added paper lace and button embellishments.

Copic Challenge #12

The Copic Challenge #12 was to use the colours R20, E33 and E57, but I only had E33. So I used alternative colours R00, E21, E47 and Marvy pens for the watercolour scenery. The cardstock is American Crafts that is double sided which makes it easy to coordinate, I added paper lace that I coloured to match. Then I punched out in the same cardstock an envelope shape and also used flowers and star gems for the finishing touch.

Everyone’s birthday seems to come at once, now its my husband’s sister birthday. So I made this card for her, I was determined to enter it in this challenge. But I am pushing it to enter it on time, where does the time go. Now I must go and make another card this time for my husband, at least get it prepared so hopefully I can enter another challenge.

Uncle card

I made this card for my husband uncle, I did not have time for entering it for any challenges. But I thought I would still add it to my blog.

Copic Challenge 7

Copic challenge 7, for this challenge it involved using the colours B12, E47, R22, but I also used E21 and YG23 to complete the colouring of the stamped image. My friend bought me a beautiful pad of patterned papers by K&Company, which I just had to use with this sweet Sugar Nellie Daisy stamp. I also used blue Bazzil card, velvet ribbon, blue gems and flowers that I had amongst my stash of embellishments.

Truly Scrumptious Challenge 4

Inside

Truly Scrumptious Challenge 4 – Flower Power, I just could not wait to get started with this exciting challenge. But it was a bit more difficult then I imaged because as I looked at what flowers I had, I just could not make up my mind, which colour to use and I also had trouble finding patterned paper. So I thought right, I will just pick a sheet of coloured Bazzil cardstock, which I then stamped on it, using three different flower images. So this was the start of my design, I then coloured the image with copic pens using BG15,C7,R00,E31,E71 and added silk, paper and punched out flowers that coordinated. I continued to decorate the inside of the card with the left over cardstock and flowers.

Whiff of Joy Challenge #22 Green

Busy, busy, busy. Been buzzing around down our local Heritage railway station organising and preparing for the Easter bunny egg hunt. Leaving me lack of time to enter many challenges, getting withdraw symptoms so hope to be back to normal soon.
So for this Whiff of Joy Challenge #22 Green, I thought I would design a Mothers Day card complementing the greens of Spring. The image and paper lace is coloured with copic pens and the patterned paper is Deja Views Apple. For the finishing embellishments I have used coordinating buttons with peeloff letters on, plus ribbon and flower to complete the card.

Whiff of Joy Challenge #20 Lavender and Lace

For the Whiff of Joy Challenge #20 Lavender and Lace, I decided to use Willow with sun hat stamp and coloured her with copic pens. I was very lucky to find a sheet of lavender patterned paper by K & Company amongst my stack of papers, and I also found the flowers that I had left over my daughters wedding. While I was out yesterday I saw some ribbon and lace that caught my eye and thought that’s just the thing I am looking for to decorate my card with. I also applied lavender stickles on top of the punched out flower shapes.

Copic Challenge 3

Copic Challenge 3 – For this card I used sassafras Lass / Life’s Beautiful patterned paper and DCWV cardstock to match. To coordinate the colours, I coloured the image with copic pens using Y15 Cadmium Yellow (hair), R05 Salmon Red (top), E71 Champagne (trousers) and E21 Baby Skin Pink (body). I also used my cricut machine to cut out a frame for the image, and for the finishing touches I inserted a brad and a decorative jewel into the middle of the flower, and placed these on top of the punched out flower shapes.

The green card stock is bazzill, pink is DCWV and the patterned paper is from Laura Ashley Contemporary pack. The stamped word Thinking of You is an Ann Griffin stamp and for the final embellishments I applied green ribbon and jelly dots.

Whiff of Joy Challenge

Inside Card

This week's whiff of joy Challenge is a fabulous sketch by Katharina.
It’s my friend’s daughter birthday soon so I thought I would make a card for her and I know she likes the colour pink. So for this design, I was very excited to use my new Willow with flower basket stamp from the spring collection, so I decided to incorporate pink and brown theme. I coloured the images with copic pens, and used glossy accents on top of the butterfly to give it a raised affect, then layered the pink bazzill, brown bazzill bling card stock and patterned paper (coco rings from three bugs in a rug). Then I added paper lace that I coloured to coordinate, and a strip of pink ribbon. Finally I stamped the word birthday girl on the card stock and placed it in a circle tag rim. But I did not stop there, I continued on the inside of the card and decorated it with the bits I had left over.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge 35 Romance

My mum has come to visit me for a few days so it has been hard to find time for making cards. So I decided to encourage her into helping me with this one, she punched out a heart and coloured it only thing is she got carried away I could not stop her from punching lots of hearts. For the rest of the time she just sat and watched me, she was very fascinated in the amount time and effort I put into making a card.
So for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge 35 Romance the design of this card consist of - green and pink bazzill card stock, Bo Bunny striped patterned paper, Penny Black Squeeze ‘till I Squeak stamp, Cart stamp by Art Impressions, red ribbon, red heart brads and buttons, I also used gold hearts and letters peel off stickers.

Whiff of Joy Wednesday Challenge 17

For the Whiff of Joy challenge 17, I decided my design would be a black and white theme using “Melinda Blowing Kisses” stamp. I coloured the stamp with copic pens that coordinated with the design. I started with DCWV black cardstock then patterned paper, added the DCWV scalloped white cardstock and on each semi circle I placed two coloured jelly dots. For the next layer I used a narrow silver swirl decorative sheet, matted and layered text and image with the same cardstock cornered with a decorative punched. Finally I applied two silver peel off corner stickers, and added jelly dots with stickles on to the flower centers.

PENNY BLACK SATURDAY CHALLENGE - WEEK 33 'FRAMES'

This is only my second entry but I am already totally hooked on blogging!

My entry for this challenge was inspired by a piece of card already made into a frame, which I adapted to the colour and theme of my design.

For this week's Penny Black Saturday Challenge you had to use a frame somewhere within your design and obviously a Penny Black stamp image. I have used Bazzill Card (i think it is called spotted!) in a purple with a darker purple frame and also the same in the matting of the image. The floral frame was one I bought already cut, but had to adapt the size of the aperture and I also coloured the flowers and stamp using copic ciao pens, which complemented the stamp image. The 'jelly dots' on the corners were from my stash as was the flower, button and ribbon embellishment.

Hope you like it... thanks for looking.
